This blog is not hosted by one of the numerous blog-platform, I choose a long time ago to be totally independent from any provider and  to offer a website without any advertisement. Of course this liberty for me (and comfort for you) has a price but I consider it small compared to the outcome.

Anyway when I chose my web-server provider, I have to say I did not think to evaluate its ecological footprint. It was perhaps a mistake since the CO2 emissions from the web sector is estimated as large than the ones emitted by international flights.

But an e-mail from my provider released my from my environmental anxiety. The energy used by the servers is guaranteed renewable. The question of the credibility of such a guaranty remains open to me, I think it is the same question than for organic food. Here the "green face" of my blog is certified by RECS, let's hope it is more worth than wind  (except if it blows through the blades of a wind-mill).

Still about green-energy, some of you have probably already seen this movie of a crazy windmill. Failure of the braking system is apparently responsible. I read that one of blades reached and destroyed another turbine. So keep your distances !
